Punjab BJP leaders met the state DGP to seek police deployment and traffic management for their upcoming anti‑drug yatras across the state.
Punjab's state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party held a meeting with the Director General of Police to discuss logistical support for its planned anti‑drug yatras. The party officials highlighted the need for adequate police presence, crowd‑control measures and coordinated traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the rallies.
During the discussion, the BJP representatives requested that the police deploy personnel at key points along the yatras' routes, manage vehicular movement, and provide rapid response teams in case of any untoward incidents.
