On the last day of Punjab’s special legislative session, MLA Ravneet Bittu entered the assembly with a bottle and openly criticised Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government.
The Punjab Legislative Assembly convened for the final day of its special session today, marking the conclusion of a series of meetings called to address pending issues in the state. Lawmakers gathered in the assembly hall in Chandigarh as the schedule progressed toward its scheduled adjournment.
Amid the proceedings, MLA Ravneet Bittu made a conspicuous appearance, carrying a bottle onto the floor. He used the moment to launch a direct attack on the Mann administration, alleging that the government had failed to deliver on key promises. His actions drew immediate attention from the speaker and other members present.
Assembly officials responded by urging order and reminding members of the decorum expected within the chamber. Security personnel were deployed to manage the situation, and the speaker called for a return to the agenda. The session continued after a brief interruption, with the opposition’s protest noted but no further disruptions reported.
