A Punjab AAP legislator travelled to Jammu and aligned with the Dharna Morcha demanding Punjabi language rights, according to Daily Excelsior.
A member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly representing the Aam Aadmi Party arrived in Jammu to join the ongoing Dharna Morcha. The protest, centered on the promotion and protection of the Punjabi language, has drawn participants from various regions. The MLA's presence underscores the party's commitment to linguistic issues beyond its home state.
The Dharna Morcha, which began earlier this month, seeks official recognition and implementation of measures that safeguard Punjabi in educational and administrative domains. By aligning with local activists, the Punjab MLA aims to amplify the movement's demands at a national level.
Party officials said the MLA's participation is part of a broader strategy to highlight language rights across India. No further statements were released regarding specific actions planned during the protest.
