An AAP leader in Punjab escaped serious injury when gunmen opened fire on his car, with police suggesting a personal rivalry may be behind the attack.
Earlier this week, a senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader in Punjab narrowly escaped a drive-by shooting when assailants fired multiple rounds at his vehicle. The leader, who was travelling with a small entourage, sustained no injuries and managed to pull over safely after the attack.
Police who arrived at the scene recovered shell casings and are treating the incident as a targeted act of violence. Investigators have said the motive appears to be linked to a personal or political rivalry, though no arrests have been made so far.
