Veteran batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has appealed for continued backing of Samson, even as the player struggles with low scores.
Veteran Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara publicly urged the national team and fans to continue supporting Samson, despite the latter’s recent run of low scores in domestic and international matches. Pujara highlighted that a player’s confidence can be fragile after a slump and that sustained backing is essential for a comeback.
Speaking to the media, Pujara emphasized that talent should not be discarded on the basis of a brief dip in form. He pointed out that many established players have faced similar phases and later returned to deliver crucial performances for the side.
Pujara’s comments have sparked discussion within cricketing circles, with analysts noting the importance of a balanced approach between performance scrutiny and player morale. The call for patience arrives as the team prepares for upcoming fixtures, where Samson’s role could be pivotal if given the chance to regain his rhythm.
