Protests Erupt in Damoh After Suspicious Death of 35-Year-Old

A wave of protests erupted in Damoh district after the suspicious death of 35-year-old Abhishek Raikwar in Narsinghgarh. Family members of the deceased allege that Raikwar's death was a result of consuming illicit liquor, and they have accused local authorities of turning a blind eye to the illegal sale of alcohol. In response to the allegations, the family blocked the Damoh-Chhatarpur highway, demanding a bulldozer action against those responsible for the alleged illicit liquor trade. Following assurances from local officials, the protestors eventually lifted the blockade.
