Protesters Shift Demo from Jantar Mantar to Ramleela Maidan, Burari, East Delhi CBD

After an eight‑year hiatus of large‑scale gatherings at Jantar Mantar, protesters announced that no slogans, placards or a formal list of demands will be displayed at the historic site. Instead, they will convene at three alternative locations in Delhi – Ramleela Maidan, the Burari neighbourhood and the CBD Ground in East Delhi. The shift aims to disperse crowds and avoid the usual congestion associated with Jantar Mantar protests. Organisers indicated that the new sites will host peaceful sit‑ins, with participants expected to remain for several hours. Authorities have been informed of the change, and security arrangements are being reviewed for the three venues.
