Graffiti bearing pro‑Khalistan slogans was found on several Delhi Metro stations. A video of the markings was recorded and forwarded to an alleged handler, prompting police investigation.
Delhi police have reported the discovery of graffiti containing pro‑Khalistan slogans on the walls of multiple metro stations across the capital. The markings, which were visible to commuters during peak hours, featured slogans such as "Khalistan Zindabad" and other separatist symbols.
According to officials, a passerby captured a short video of the graffiti and sent it to a person described as a "handler" linked to extremist networks. The video was later handed over to the police, who are now treating the incident as a potential act of subversive vandalism.
Metro authorities have cordoned off the affected areas and are cooperating with the police to identify the perpetrators. An investigation has been launched under the Delhi Police's Crime Branch, with a focus on any links to extremist groups operating in the region.
The incident has raised concerns about the security of public transport infrastructure and the spread of separatist propaganda in urban spaces. Officials have urged commuters to report any suspicious activity promptly.
No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation remains ongoing.
