Prince William is undergoing cultural briefings on Bollywood’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, cricket basics and Indian cuisine ahead of his upcoming trip to India.
Prince William is preparing for his forthcoming visit to India by immersing himself in key aspects of Indian culture. As part of his briefings, he has watched the classic Bollywood film "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" to understand the country's cinematic heritage.
In addition to film, the Prince has taken introductory cricket sessions, familiarising himself with the rules and etiquette of the sport that unites millions across the subcontinent.
He is also being advised on Indian culinary preferences, focusing on adapting his palate to local flavors while noting his personal preference for milder spice levels. These preparations aim to ensure his engagements resonate with Indian audiences and reflect cultural sensitivity.
The itinerary for the visit, which is yet to be disclosed in detail, is expected to include meetings with Indian officials, charitable events, and public appearances that highlight the historic ties between the United Kingdom and India.
Royal aides say the comprehensive briefings are standard protocol for high‑profile overseas trips, designed to foster mutual respect and deeper understanding between the two nations.
