Amazon Prime Video has signed a multi‑year deal with South Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM to stream more than 100 Korean series and films in India.
Amazon Prime Video has entered a multi‑year partnership with South Korean entertainment conglomerate CJ ENM to bring more than 100 Korean dramas, variety shows and films to Indian subscribers.
Under the agreement, the streaming platform will acquire the rights to a wide range of titles, including popular series such as "Crash Landing on You" and "Itaewon Class", which have already seen success in India.
The deal is part of Prime Video’s strategy to expand its international content library and tap into the growing demand for Korean entertainment, known as the "K‑wave", among Indian audiences.
CJ ENM will also collaborate with Prime Video to promote the content through targeted marketing and localized subtitles, aiming to attract both existing and new subscribers.
The launch is expected to roll out in phases, with the first batch of titles becoming available in the coming months.
