The Rajkummar Rao starrer Prahaar earned ₹2.35 crore on its opening day, falling short of the collections of Mr & Mrs Mahi and Bhool Chuk Maaf.
Prahaar, a crime thriller starring Rajkummar Rao, opened across India on 8 September 2023, earning ₹2.35 crore on its first day, according to trade analysts.
While the collection shows a moderate start, it did not match the opening day takings of contemporaries Mr & Mrs Mahi and Bhool Chuk Maaf, which posted higher figures.
The film’s performance will be closely watched as distributors weigh the potential for a wider release. Analysts note that the modest opening may reflect competition from other releases and the film’s niche appeal.
Rajkummar Rao, who has previously delivered hits such as Chhichhore and Gully Boy, is expected to bring his star power to the screen. The director and production team remain optimistic about the film’s trajectory.
