Post office employee Yunus Khan was found severely burned on Ahur Bypass in Jalore on Wednesday. He succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment in Jodhpur.
On Wednesday morning, a post office employee identified as Yunus Khan was discovered in a heavily burned condition, estimated at about 80% injuries, near the Ahur Bypass road in Jalore, Rajasthan. Bystanders who witnessed the scene managed to extinguish the flames and rushed the victim to the nearest medical facility.
Khan was initially taken to a local hospital where his critical condition prompted a referral to a tertiary care centre in Jodhpur. Despite intensive medical efforts, he died while under treatment, confirming the fatal outcome of the attack.
Police investigations have revealed that three masked youths have claimed responsibility for the act, sparking public outrage and a heightened security alert in the area.
