ਸਾਡਾ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਣ: ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਾਂਝ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ
01 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਦਨਹੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਸਰਵ ਹਿਊਮੈਨਿਟੀ ਸਰਵ ਗੌਡ’ ਓਲਡ ਏਜ ਹੋਮ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਸਾਡਾ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਣ’ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਾਂਝ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ आयोजਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ, ਰੁੱਖ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕੈਂਪ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸੀ।
Under the 'ਸਾਡਾ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਣ' campaign, a special intergenerational bonding program was held on 1 October 2026 at the Sarv Humaniti Sarv God old age home in Madanheri, Mohali. District Social Welfare Officer, Mohali, Smt. Navdeep Kaur informed that the activity was part of the State Action Plan 2026-27 for senior citizens' welfare.
Students from Government Model School, Madanheri visited the old age home, spent time with elders, recited poems, and presented Gratitude Cards expressing love and respect. Elders shared their life experiences and memories with the children, providing a learning opportunity for the younger generation.
Additional initiatives: Under the 'ਇੱਕ ਪੇੜ ਮਾਂ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ' campaign, saplings were planted, and a special medical camp was organized to provide health services to senior citizens. A similar program was also conducted at Government Model School, Phase-2, Mohali, where various activities were organized to promote interaction and respect between students and seniors.
Officer Navdeep Kaur stated that the main objective of such initiatives is to connect the new generation with elders' experiences and values, and to strengthen feelings of love, respect, compassion, and moral values among children. She added that increasing intergenerational interaction reinforces the sense of respect and sharing in society.
