The Portugal Film Commission showcased the nation’s diverse shooting locations at the Shooting Locations Marketplace event, aiming to attract international filmmakers.
The Portugal Film Commission took center stage at the Shooting Locations Marketplace, a global platform for film location scouting. The event, held in Lisbon, featured a comprehensive showcase of Portugal’s varied landscapes, historic sites, and modern urban settings.
During the presentation, the commission highlighted key locations that have already hosted major international productions, such as the historic center of Porto and the Algarve coast. They also introduced new, lesser-known sites that offer unique aesthetic and logistical advantages for filmmakers.
Industry experts noted that Portugal’s competitive tax incentives and well‑established film infrastructure make it an attractive destination for productions seeking both cost efficiency and high production value.
The commission’s outreach at the marketplace is part of a broader strategy to position Portugal as a leading hub for global film and television projects.
