Election officials indicate that the schedule for the upcoming local body polls in Andhra Pradesh may be revised, prompting parties to adjust their campaigns.
A video released by Telugu360 reports that the dates for the forthcoming local body elections in Andhra Pradesh are likely to be altered. The Election Commission has not disclosed a new timetable, but sources suggest logistical considerations are driving the possible revision.
Political parties in the state have been informed of the tentative change and are reportedly recalibrating their outreach strategies to align with any new schedule. Senior officials from the major regional parties declined to comment on specifics, emphasizing that they will comply with the final decision of the commission.
The potential shift comes as the state prepares for a large-scale polling exercise involving thousands of gram panchayats, municipalities and other local bodies. Election authorities have urged voters to stay updated through official channels for any announcements regarding the revised dates.
Stakeholders, including civil society groups monitoring the electoral process, have called for transparent communication to ensure that the change does not disrupt voter participation or the overall conduct of the elections.
