Polling concludes for Madurantakam and Dharapuram by‑elections in Tamil Nadu

The Election Commission of India has completed polling for the by‑elections in the Madurantakam and Dharapuram constituencies of Tamil Nadu. Both seats, which became vacant earlier this year, saw voters cast their ballots across designated polling stations throughout the day.

Election officials have secured the electronic voting machines and are now preparing for the counting phase, which will determine the winning candidates. Political parties and their supporters are awaiting the outcome, which could influence the balance of power in the state assembly.

The results are expected to be declared after the counting process, scheduled in the coming days, and will be closely watched by analysts for any shift in voter sentiment ahead of the next general elections.
