Political Science Lecture Emphasizes Career Opportunities for Students in Harihar
Dr. Nagaraju N., Assistant Professor at Davangere University, spoke at the inauguration of the Arivu Political Science Forum in Harihar, highlighting ample career prospects for Political Science graduates in administration, politics and education.
Dr. Nagaraju N., Assistant Professor of Political Science at Davangere University, delivered a lecture on “Political Science: Career Opportunities and Future Prospects” at the inauguration of the Arivu Political Science Forum held at Smt. Giriyamma R. Kantappa Shreshthi First Grade Women’s College in Harihar on September 8. He said that in the present era of globalization, students of Political Science have ample career opportunities in administration, politics and education, and urged them to make effective use of these prospects to build a bright future.
He added that quality education contributes to an individual’s physical and mental development and opens doors to future opportunities, emphasizing that education is an important tool for the advancement of women. Dr. Nagaraju advised young women to actively participate in social and political fields and not to hesitate to take part in the political process and elections. He noted that Political Science provides a strong foundation for competitive examinations and is useful for various state and central government examinations, including the UPSC, where Political Science and Public Administration can be chosen as optional subjects.
Presiding over the programme, College Principal Dr. Srinivas Ajoor said that the Arivu Political Science Forum should become a platform for developing political awareness, leadership qualities, analytical thinking and social responsibility among students. Head of the Department of Political Science Dr. Pavithra S.T. delivered the introductory remarks. The event was attended by Sathyaranayana M.R., Director of the Pauraseva Samiti (Regd.), Harihar; IQAC Coordinator Dr. Veena H.M.; lecturers H.M. Gurubasavarajayya, M. Shambhavi and Parjana Banu; staff members and students.
