The Khandwa police department has announced a new security measure for the upcoming Ganesh festival. QR codes will be placed at each Ganesh pandal across the city, allowing visitors to scan and submit anonymous feedback, complaints or tips directly to the police.
The scanned information will be routed through the Kavach mobile application, which the police use for real‑time monitoring and response. Officials say the system is designed to encourage the public to report any suspicious activity or safety concerns without fear of identification.
Police officials emphasized that the QR codes are part of a broader effort to strengthen crowd management and prevent incidents during the festive period. The initiative will be operational from the first day of the celebrations and will remain active throughout the festival.
