Police Seize ₹3.14 Crore from Taxi Driver's Home in Sagar; Retired Engineer Refuses Ownership

Police recovered ₹3.14 crore from a taxi driver’s house in Tili Tigdda, Sagar. The retired engineer, Ramesh Ahirwar, denied ownership and the amount was handed over to the Income Tax Department.
Police officers from Sagar district recovered a sum of ₹3.14 crore from the residence of a taxi driver in the Tili Tigdda area. The money was found in cash and was immediately seized by the authorities.
The recovered amount was reported to the Income Tax Department for further investigation. According to police statements, the cash was not linked to any known criminal activity at the time of seizure.
Retired engineer Ramesh Ahirwar, who was present during the operation, denied any ownership of the money. He stated that the cash did not belong to him and requested that it be returned to its rightful owner.
During the search, officers also photographed an object that appeared to be a pistol. Subsequent examination revealed that the item was actually a lighter, and no weapons were found on the premises.
