Chhattisgarh police confiscated 520 kilograms of marijuana valued at roughly Rs 3 crore and detained four alleged traffickers, officials said.
State police in Chhattisgarh reported a major drug bust on Tuesday, seizing 520 kilograms of marijuana estimated at Rs 3 crore. The seizure was carried out during a coordinated operation by the anti‑narcotics wing, which intercepted the contraband before it could be moved further.
Four individuals suspected of being part of the trafficking network were arrested at the scene. The accused are currently in police custody and are being interrogated for further leads on the supply chain.
Authorities said the quantity seized represents one of the largest marijuana hauls in the state in recent years, underscoring the growing focus on curbing illicit drug trade in central India. The case will be forwarded to the district court for trial.
