Police Reveal Illegal Debris Dump and Wall Breach at Saty Niketan PG Renovation in Delhi

A police probe has uncovered that during renovation of the dilapidated Saty Niketan PG, contractors dumped roughly three truckloads of debris in the basement and later demolished a wall to create shop space on the ground floor.
Delhi police investigating the Saty Niketan PG renovation have found that the building, already described as dilapidated, was used as a dumping ground for construction waste. According to the inquiry, about three trucks of debris were loaded into the basement while renovation work was underway.
The investigation further revealed that, after filling the basement, contractors breached a structural wall on the ground floor. The breach was allegedly carried out to carve out a space for a commercial shop, altering the original layout of the premises.
Authorities view the actions as a violation of building norms and safety regulations. The police have opened a case to determine the extent of illegal construction and to identify the parties responsible for the unauthorized modifications.
