Delhi police have denied permission for singer Diljit Dosanjh’s planned concert, citing security concerns. The decision halts the event until further clearance is obtained.
Delhi police have turned down the request to hold a Diljit Dosanjh concert in the capital, stating that the proposed event poses security challenges. The denial was communicated to the organisers after a routine assessment of crowd‑control and threat parameters.
Authorities did not disclose specific intelligence details but emphasized the need to prevent any potential disturbance in a densely populated urban area. The concert, which was slated for an indoor venue in Delhi, now lacks official clearance.
Event promoters have been advised to submit a revised security plan or seek an alternative location. The police have indicated that a re‑evaluation will be possible if the organisers can address the raised concerns.
No further comment was provided by Diljit Dosanjh’s team, and ticket holders have been instructed to await updates regarding refunds or rescheduling.
