Slogans praising ‘Shahid Dilawar Babbar’ were found on a school wall in Jai Singh Wala, Bathinda. The village panchayat alerted police and an investigation is underway.
In the village of Jai Singh Wala, located on the outskirts of Bathinda, authorities discovered slogans reading “Shahid Dilawar Babbar Zindabad” painted on the wall of a local school and on an adjacent structure. The graffiti, which glorifies a figure associated with militancy, prompted immediate concern among residents.
Village panchayat members convened an emergency meeting and subsequently called the Bathinda police to report the incident. Police officials arrived on the scene, secured the area, and began documenting the graffiti as part of a criminal investigation.
Investigators are focusing on identifying the individuals responsible for the vandalism and determining whether the slogans constitute a breach of the Indian Penal Code’s provisions on hate speech and extremist propaganda.
