Police in Dwarka district arrested a man accused of impersonating a political leader’s wife to defraud a businessman. The arrest was carried out by Deputy Superintendent of Police Kusalpal Singh on a request from the local police station.
The fraudster allegedly used the Ashok Stambh logo on his WhatsApp account to create a false identity and gain the trust of his victims. By presenting himself as the spouse of a prominent leader, he was able to secure financial commitments from the businessman.
Investigations revealed that the accused has been involved in 25 criminal cases, ranging from fraud to identity theft. His prior record prompted a swift response from law enforcement.
Police officials said the arrested individual will be produced before the court and that further inquiries will be conducted to recover the misappropriated funds.
