A full security rehearsal for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Odisha was carried out, and authorities have announced traffic restrictions starting tomorrow to ensure smooth movement.
On Thursday, security forces conducted a comprehensive rehearsal in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Odisha. The drill involved coordination between the National Security Guard, Odisha Police, and local municipal authorities to test emergency response protocols and crowd management strategies.
The exercise, held in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, simulated various scenarios including potential threats, medical emergencies, and evacuation procedures. Command centers were set up to monitor real‑time communication and to ensure rapid deployment of security assets.
In addition to the rehearsal, the state government announced that traffic restrictions will commence from tomorrow. Key roads and junctions in and around Bhubaneswar will see reduced speed limits, temporary closures, and rerouting to facilitate the safe passage of the Prime Minister’s convoy.
Officials assured the public that the measures are temporary and aimed at minimizing disruptions while maintaining public safety during the high‑profile visit.
