Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the second edition of Vijayawada Utsav for its role in showcasing the region’s cultural legacy and attracting visitors.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a visit to Andhra Pradesh, lauded the launch of Vijayawada Utsav 2.0, calling it a platform that celebrates the city’s rich cultural tapestry and stimulates tourism.
The festival, organized by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation in partnership with local authorities, showcases traditional music, dance, craft exhibitions and regional cuisine, aiming to attract both domestic and international travellers.
State officials said the event is expected to generate considerable economic activity for local artisans and hospitality businesses, reinforcing the government’s plan to position Vijayawada as a cultural hub.
Modi’s remarks were delivered at the inauguration ceremony attended by state ministers, cultural activists and tourism agency representatives.
