During a Unity Day ceremony honoring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized opposition parties for obstructing development and attempting to divide the nation.
At a Unity Day event held to honor Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a sharp speech aimed at opposition parties. He accused them of obstructing the country’s development agenda and of attempting to sow division among citizens.
Modi said that the opposition’s actions were detrimental to the nation’s progress and that they were deliberately working against the government’s initiatives. He warned that such behaviour could undermine the unity and stability that the country has achieved.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came during a ceremony that celebrates India’s unity and the legacy of Patel, a key figure in the nation’s independence and integration of princely states.
Observers noted that Modi’s comments were part of a broader campaign to rally support for the ruling party’s development plans and to counter criticism from opposition leaders.
