Pilgrim Dies After Sudden Illness on Train to Jagannathpuri from Damoh

A pilgrim accompanied by his wife set out for Jagannathpuri under the state’s Chief Minister’s pilgrimage scheme when his health suddenly deteriorated after the train departed from Damoh station. The passenger reported feeling unwell shortly after the train started moving, prompting the train staff to arrange immediate medical assistance.
Emergency services dispatched an ambulance that rushed the pilgrim to the district hospital in Damoh. Doctors there initiated life‑saving measures, but despite their efforts the patient could not be revived and was declared dead.
