Peace Efforts in Manipur Remain Incomplete, Says Indian Express

The Indian Express published an editorial highlighting that the work of establishing lasting peace in Manipur is still unfinished. The piece points to ongoing tensions that have persisted despite various government and civil society initiatives. Analysts cited in the editorial stress that without sustained dialogue and confidence‑building measures, the region may continue to experience instability. The newspaper calls for renewed commitment from both state authorities and community leaders to address underlying grievances. It concludes that achieving peace will require coordinated effort over the coming months.

The editorial does not provide new data but reiterates the need for continued focus on reconciliation and development in the northeastern state.

Observers note that the call for peace aligns with broader national efforts to stabilize conflict‑prone areas across India.
