The cold spell in Patiala, Punjab, is not expected to intensify, with temperatures currently 1.9°C above the seasonal average.
Patiala, Punjab – The ongoing cold wave has shown no signs of strengthening, according to the latest observations from the regional meteorological office. Current readings place the temperature at 1.9 degrees Celsius above the normal range for this time of year.
The report, cited by Amar Ujala, indicates that the short‑term forecast does not anticipate any further drop in temperature for the next few days. Meteorologists attribute the pause to a mild air mass moving across northern India, which is temporarily offsetting the usual winter chill.
Residents are advised to continue dressing warmly but can expect a relatively stable climate in the coming days, with no immediate threat of severe cold-related health issues.
