The film studio announced it will produce a live-action adaptation of the popular video game Cyberpunk 2077. The project aims to bring the dystopian Night City universe to the big screen.
Paramount Pictures revealed plans to develop a live-action film based on CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 during a recent announcement. The studio said the movie will explore the same futuristic setting of Night City, focusing on the themes of technology, corporate power and human augmentation that defined the game.
No director, cast or release date has been disclosed yet, but the project is being handled by Paramount's film division in collaboration with the game's creators.
Industry observers note that the adaptation follows a trend of major video game franchises being turned into cinematic experiences, hoping to attract both gamers and general audiences.
