Panna Police Uncover ₹12.65 Lakh Fake Visa Scam, Arrest Two Suspects from Bijnor and Delhi

Madhya Pradesh’s Panna police busted a fraudulent visa racket that duped victims of ₹12.65 million and detained two alleged members from Bijnor and Delhi.
Panna police in Madhya Pradesh announced the seizure of a fake‑visa operation that allegedly swindled victims of about ₹12.65 million. The investigation, carried out by the district’s crime branch, led to the arrest of two suspects believed to be key members of the racket.
The two accused, identified as residents of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, were apprehended after the police traced financial transactions and intercepted communications linking them to the fraud. Both were taken into custody at the Panna police station and presented before the magistrate.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Crime) Rajesh Kumar said the gang promised overseas travel and work permits in exchange for large sums, but delivered forged documents. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have warned the public to verify visa agents and report any suspicious offers.
The seized evidence includes forged passports, payment receipts, and a ledger detailing the amounts collected from victims across several states. The police have forwarded the case to the cyber crime cell for further forensic analysis.
Officials assured that steps are being taken to prevent similar scams and urged potential travelers to approach only authorized government channels for visa processing.
