Pakistan's aviation authority has announced that the prohibition on Indian civil aircraft entering its airspace will remain in force until 24 September.
Pakistan's civil aviation regulator confirmed that the restriction on Indian civil aircraft flying through Pakistani airspace has been extended to 24 September, as reported by Telangana Today.
The ban, which was originally imposed earlier this year amid heightened bilateral tensions, continues to affect a number of scheduled commercial flights between the two neighbours. Airlines operating routes that normally cross the restricted zone are required to use longer alternative paths, potentially increasing flight duration and fuel consumption.
Both governments have previously indicated that the measure is a response to diplomatic disagreements, but have not disclosed any new developments that prompted the extension. The extended prohibition remains in place pending any further diplomatic resolution.
