More than six thousand people participated in the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s ‘Run for Unity’ event held in Srinagar, aiming to foster communal harmony.
Srinagar witnessed a large‑scale community run organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday. Over 6,000 participants, ranging from police personnel to local residents, gathered at the starting point and completed the designated route through the city’s main thoroughfares.
The police described the event as a “Run for Unity” intended to promote peace and solidarity among the diverse communities of the valley. Organisers coordinated with local authorities to ensure safety and smooth traffic management throughout the run.
Police officials said the turnout reflected a growing public desire for harmony and cooperation in the region. The event concluded with a brief address by senior police leadership, reaffirming their commitment to community‑focused policing.
