More than 600 applications have been received by the Madhya Pradesh Congress for members wishing to rejoin, among them over 200 current and former district presidents, legislators and ex‑ministers.
The Madhya Pradesh unit of the Indian National Congress has reportedly received upwards of 600 requests from individuals seeking to return to the party fold. The applications include more than 200 persons who have previously held positions such as district party president, Member of Legislative Assembly, former MLA and former minister. Senior Congress leader Jitu Patwari indicated that any re‑admission will be subject to the approval of the respective district Congress committees. The influx reflects a renewed interest in the party ahead of upcoming electoral contests, though no timeline for decisions has been announced.
