Over 54,000 Voters Removed from Sikkim’s Final 2026 Electoral Roll

The Election Commission of India has published the final electoral roll for the 2026 elections in Sikkim. After a supplementary revision, known as SIR, more than 54,000 names were omitted from the list of eligible voters. The removal reflects the commission’s effort to eliminate duplicate, ineligible or outdated entries and ensure the accuracy of the roll. Authorities have advised affected citizens to verify their status and submit any necessary corrections before the next update. The final roll will be used for upcoming state and local elections scheduled later this year.
