More than 250,000 students across Uttarakhand have submitted proposals for the state’s development as part of a government‑led idea‑generation drive.
The Uttarakhand government’s youth‑engagement initiative has received over 2.5 lakh ideas from school and college students across the state. The submissions, collected through an online portal, cover a wide range of sectors including tourism, education, infrastructure and environmental conservation.
Officials said the ideas will be screened by a panel of experts and policymakers to identify feasible projects that can be incorporated into the state’s development plans. The campaign, launched earlier this year, aims to harness the creativity of young people and give them a direct role in shaping Uttarakhand’s future.
The response has been described as unprecedented, reflecting strong interest among the younger generation to contribute to the state’s growth trajectory. The government plans to publish a summary of the most promising proposals in the coming weeks.
