Over 12 kg heroin seized in Faridkot; two suspects arrested by CIA staff

Police and CIA staff intercepted two young men on a bike carrying more than 12 kilograms of heroin in Faridkot, Punjab, leading to their arrest.
Authorities said that earlier today a police checkpoint in Faridkot, Punjab, was approached by two young men riding a motorcycle loaded with a large quantity of narcotics. Spotting the checkpoint, the duo attempted to flee, but CIA staff stationed at the post quickly intervened and apprehended them.
During the operation, officials recovered more than 12 kilograms of heroin concealed on the bike. Both suspects were taken into custody and handed over to the local police for further investigation.
The seizure is being described as a major blow to drug trafficking networks operating in the region. Police have not disclosed additional details about the source of the narcotics or any further arrests linked to the case.
