Ahead of Rahul Gandhi's 'Students' Goonj' rally in Indore, more than a hundred anti‑Gandhi hoardings were put up on major city roads on Friday night.
Indore's streets turned into a political billboard on Friday night as activists and party supporters mounted over one hundred hoardings and posters opposing Rahul Gandhi's scheduled appearance. The campaign targets the 'Students' Goonj' rally planned for Saturday, aiming to deter the Congress leader's presence in the city.
According to local reports, the posters were placed on key thoroughfares, including MG Road, A.B. Road and the area around the Indore Railway Station. The messages on the hoardings accuse Gandhi of misleading youth and demand his withdrawal from the event.
City officials have not intervened, citing freedom of expression, while police have been monitoring the situation to prevent any escalation. The rally is expected to draw a sizable crowd of students and supporters, but the poster drive reflects growing political tension in the region.
The poster campaign is part of a broader effort by opposition groups in Madhya Pradesh to challenge the Congress party's outreach ahead of upcoming state elections. No incidents of violence have been reported so far, and the event is set to proceed as planned on Saturday.
