Orphan children in Madhya Pradesh celebrated Diwali by creating handmade diyas and decorative items, highlighting their talent and festive spirit.
On the occasion of Diwali, a group of orphan children in Madhya Pradesh displayed remarkable creativity by crafting their own diyas and other decorative pieces. The initiative, organized by local caregivers, aimed to involve the children in the festive celebrations and provide them with a sense of participation.
Using simple materials such as clay, paper, and wax, the children fashioned candle‑filled diyas, lanterns, and assorted ornaments. Their efforts were guided by volunteers who taught basic crafting techniques while encouraging artistic expression.
The handmade creations were later displayed in the orphanage courtyard, illuminating the space with a warm, home‑grown glow. Observers praised the children’s skill and the positive impact of the activity on their confidence.
Local officials commended the program, noting that such cultural engagements help integrate vulnerable children into community traditions and foster a supportive environment during the festive season.
