Orchestra dancer forced into sexual assault after weapon threat on Saran road

A dancer returning from a birthday orchestra event in Saran district was stopped on a deserted stretch of the Mashrak‑Taraiya road, where she says the driver brandished a weapon and forced her into a sexual act.

Saran district police received a complaint on Saturday morning that a female dancer, part of an orchestra performing at a birthday celebration, was intercepted on a sparsely populated section of the Mashrak‑Taraiya main road. According to the victim, the scooter driver halted her vehicle, displayed a weapon and compelled her to engage in a sexual act against her will.

The incident reportedly occurred in a remote stretch of the road, away from any nearby habitation, making it difficult for the victim to seek immediate help. The dancer has lodged a formal FIR, alleging both intimidation with a firearm and sexual assault.
