Old Saraighat Bridge in Guwahati Reopens to Vehicular Traffic After Two‑Month Closure

The Assam government announced that the Old Saraighat bridge, a key crossing over the Brahmaputra in Guwahati, will once again allow vehicles after nearly sixty days of closure. The bridge, which serves as a major conduit for daily commuters and commercial traffic, was shut for repairs and safety checks earlier this year.
