Odisha’s Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari convened a high‑level review meeting on Tuesday to evaluate the damage caused by Cyclone Arnab and to streamline the state’s response.
The meeting, held at the Revenue Department’s headquarters in Bhubaneswar, brought together senior officials from the Disaster Management Authority, the Public Works Department and the State Disaster Response Fund.
Pujari outlined the preliminary damage assessment, highlighted areas requiring immediate attention, and emphasized the need for a coordinated relief distribution plan.
Officials agreed to mobilise additional resources, including temporary shelters and medical teams, and to monitor the situation closely as the cyclone’s remnants move inland.
