An Odisha legislator has highlighted sluggish execution, persistent delays and sub‑standard quality in ongoing state development projects, calling for immediate corrective action.

The member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly raised concerns on Monday about the pace and standards of several ongoing development projects across the state. According to the MLA, work on key infrastructure schemes is progressing far slower than scheduled, with repeated delays affecting both timelines and budgets.

He pointed out that sub‑par construction quality has been observed at multiple sites, potentially compromising the durability and safety of the completed works. The legislator urged the state government and implementing agencies to conduct thorough inspections and enforce stricter quality controls.

The MLA called for an urgent review meeting with department heads to identify bottlenecks and to accelerate remedial measures. He emphasized that timely and quality execution is essential for the welfare of citizens and for maintaining public confidence in government initiatives.

While officials have not yet issued a formal response, the remarks add pressure on the administration to address the highlighted shortcomings before the next fiscal review.
