Odisha Meteorological Dept Issues Low Pressure Alert Across State

The Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) has officially issued a low pressure alert for the entire state, citing an approaching weather system that could bring unsettled conditions. The alert was released early this morning following assessments by the Indian Meteorological Department, which identified a trough of low pressure moving eastward over the Bay of Bengal.
Meteorologists predict that the system may trigger intermittent heavy rainfall, gusty winds and localized flooding, especially in coastal districts such as Puri, Kendrapara and Bhadrak. Inland areas could also experience sudden downpours and reduced visibility.
