The state’s top matriculation performers were awarded the Gopabandhu Das Scholarship worth Rs 1 lakh, as reported by Pragativadi.
Odisha’s highest‑scoring students in the recent matriculation examinations were honoured with the Gopabandhu Das Scholarship, a cash award of Rs 1 lakh per student. The scholarship, named after the eminent freedom fighter and educationist Gopabandhu Das, aims to encourage academic excellence among school‑going youth.
The announcement was made by the state education department and covered by the local daily Pragativadi. Recipients were presented with the award certificates in a ceremony attended by officials and the students’ families.
