Students in Odisha are grappling with textbooks containing errors while a significant number of schools face a shortage of permanent teachers, impacting the quality of education.
Odisha's education system is currently facing a dual challenge of erroneous textbooks and a persistent shortage of teachers, causing widespread concern among students and parents.
The state has seen instances where students are being taught using textbooks that contain factual mistakes. Despite government directives to rectify these errors, the implementation on the ground is proving difficult. This situation is compounded by a lack of permanent teaching staff in many educational institutions.
To address these pressing issues, the School and Mass Education Minister convened a review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan. The primary objective of this meeting was to devise a strategy, a roadmap, to prevent any further disruption to the students' learning process and to find solutions for the existing problems.
