Odisha has dispatched 380 kilograms of Basunga Pata, a sacred mulberry silk rope, to the Shrimandir administration in Puri for upcoming Rath Yatra rituals. The consignment was flagged off by the Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Minister.

The Odisha Cooperative Tassar and Silk Federation (SERIFED) has sent a significant consignment of 380 kilograms of Basunga Pata to the Shrimandir administration in Puri. This sacred mulberry silk rope is an essential component for the upcoming Rath Yatra rituals at the Shree Jagannath Temple.

The dispatch ceremony took place at the SERIFED office in Shaheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar. Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Minister Pradeep Bal Samant officially flagged off the consignment after participating in religious rituals. This marks a crucial step in the preparations for one of Odisha's most significant festivals.
