Chief Minister Majhi toured the Ganjam and Koraput districts of Odisha to assess damage after heavy rains.
Odisha Chief Minister Majhi arrived in the state’s eastern Ganjam district and the hilly Koraput district to personally inspect the aftermath of recent heavy rains. The two districts were among the worst affected, with waterlogging reported across several villages and road networks disrupted by floodwaters.
During the visit, the CM met local officials and community representatives to gather first‑hand information on the extent of damage to homes, agricultural fields and public infrastructure. He emphasized the need for swift relief measures and urged district administrations to expedite rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
State authorities have been mobilising relief teams, including the Odisha Disaster Management Authority, to provide essential supplies and medical assistance. The chief minister pledged continued monitoring of the situation and assured that the government will allocate necessary resources to restore normalcy in the affected areas.
