The Odisha government has increased the allowance for Anganwadi workers and introduced the DIPTI portal to simplify bill submission and payment processes.
The state government of Odisha announced a hike in the monthly allowance for Anganwadi workers, a move aimed at improving the livelihood of frontline child development staff. The decision comes as part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) framework.
In addition to the allowance increase, Odisha has launched the Digital Integrated Payment and Tracking Interface (DIPTI) portal. The new platform will enable Anganwadi workers to submit their service bills online, reducing paperwork and speeding up reimbursements.
Officials say the portal will also provide real‑time tracking of payments, ensuring transparency and accountability. The move is expected to enhance efficiency in the delivery of health, nutrition, and early childhood education services across the state.
